BIG RED DAY

New Zealand’s BIG RED DAY may be new to the scene, but they’re a band that’s arrived with purpose. Their debut sound is big, bold and unapologetically loud – built on raw crunch, sweeping sustain and a sonic confidence that fills every corner of the room. It’s the kind of full-bodied rock that doesn’t ask for your attention – it demands it.

With roots in Auckland and Christchurch and a style that feels both grounded and forward-pushing, BIG RED DAY are carving their own path through the noise. Call it new faze rock – a muscular, atmospheric sound that doesn’t just echo the past, but bends it toward something new. Their debut album will shortly be streaming on all major platforms. Stay tuned!

6 December 2025:
That’s a wrap on filming our second video, for our song Lonely. A couple long days and many takes but a huge amount of fun. Unlike our first video which captured a raw live studio performance, this shoot blends live performance (with a twist) with acted scenes, giving us a lot to play with visually. The cameras are down, the footage is in and the real magic now moves to the editing room, where some clever cutting and creative ideas will bring it all together. We’re excited about where this one’s heading and can’t wait to share the finished result with you soon.

14 November 2025:
Word through today from Oli Allen at Stebbing Records that after years of writing, refining, late nights and stubborn persistence, it’s finally official: our debut album is mixed and mastered. It’s grown into a record we’re incredibly proud of. Every track carries the weight of the time it took to get here — the learning curves and the moments when it felt like it might never quite happen. But it did. Oli, you’ve been amazing to work with. The final mixes are locked, the masters are done and the album now exists exactly as we always hoped it would sound. We can’t wait to share it with you very soon. Thank you to everyone who’s stuck with us, supported us and believed this day would come — we’re just getting started!

 3 August 2025:
We’ve just smashed out the one-day shoot for our debut Big Red Day video — and what a ride.
Multiple takes, wild camera angles, shifting lights, new graphic setups every five minutes… now the rushes are off to the edit suite to be crafted into something massive.
Huge thanks to everyone who came through with favours, time and pure chaos-energy. You all made this happen!
